Error: Application Install

I'm new to HTC Desire, - tried to install some new applications, but got an error message on my phone "Parse Error. There is a problem parsing the package.
Any CURE ?

Which app did you try to install and how did you try (from market, from SDcard) ?

I tried to install 2 free applications "Barcode scanner" and "TasKiller" using the HTC Sync "Install Application" from the SD card. I have problems accessing Android Market from Norway
