My laptop crashed. A bible-thumper thumped the desk a couple of times with his laptop, his bible and his writing pad and it crashed. After rebooting and diagnostic, I got the above mentioned error!

Yeah, had to go into cmd for a full disk check and repair.
The thumper did a good job. Index was a total mess.
Wasted a full day!

I think I'll will invest in an SSD, my laptop is an i7, has a lot of life left in it. Rebuild a new laptop that scares me: Oracle, SQLServer, all sorts of linux-related utilities, Eclipse, Android Studio... not easy to install all of those in one laptop.
