Help Error retrieving info from server....

Tek20

Newbie
I am ready to give up on my Nexus. When trying to download magazines in the Play store I get:

Error retrieving info from the server (DF-BPA-21)...

This has been happening during searches and purchases. I followed the instructions in other posts about clearing cache / data of the play store apps.

I even did a Factory Data Reset and still have the same issue.

Any other suggestions? If I cannot download stuff in the Play store then I am not happy with this device.

I'm surprised a reset didn't fix it. If you haven't tried it, go to settings, apps, all, look for Google services framework app. Clear data and cache and reboot. See if that helps.

Tek, also check your Google account info and see if everything is correct. If a factory reset didn't help I'm thinking that's where the problem may be. Like an expired credit card? Or some wrong info somewhere.

Nothing to do with the Nexus or my account. Google support has confirmed and duplicated the issue on their end.

That's good. So it was a problem with the play store?

Yes. They said they are having problems with the store. I also just confirmed the issue on my company android device.

Try hitting buy issue on TV Guide in the play store. That should create the error. Only impacts certain magazines.
