ES File Manager problem.

[Deepfried]

Im rooted and ES has permissions. But when i go to Menu>Settings>Root Explorer then Mount as R/W it says "Failed to Mount". Any ideas? Ive reinstalled it twice with no luck.

I have a Galaxy Precedent with AR 2.3...

I'm not 100%, but I think I had the same problem myself. I'm not sure if ES File Manager has the ability to do that. I was stuck and ended up getting Root Explorer.

It's worth paying for it, as it does EVERYTHING that you need!

It does mount /system r/w for me, though I use Root Explorer myself.

I don't know Samsung devices though. On an HTC like mine you could be rooted but still unable to mount /system unless you have also disabled the NAND security (S-Off).

Wasn't sure - thanks for confirmation!!

It works for me, too. I have an Optimus V and I have the Root Explorer and the Mount File System option checked in the ES File Explorer settings.

May have to pony up and give that a try...

Too bad cuz i REALLY like ESs' layout.
