Help Esteem randomly restarting

I've had my phone since may last year. my baseband is ZVD and it's rooted but no custom roms installed but I do have ROM toolbox lite, rom manager, busybox and the LG esteem optimizer installed. I have no idea how to do any rom installs so I havent bothered to try it and mess up my phone MORE. this was ocurring before I rooted it and rooting hasn't changed the issue.

I love the phone otherwise but this crap is NUTTY guys. also is there a reason why it drags on texting sometimes and also sometimes when i tilt the phone to make the keyboard bigger it will close the LG keyboard due to an unknown error.

HALP!
 
It happens to older phone like the esteem. You could try factory reseting it. But thatll most likely be a temporary fix. Hopefully cm10 is fully functional soon as jellybean would make your esteem smooth.
 
it's not gonna matter 2 weeks from now as I'm doing an exchange to the LG motion. fed up with dealing with this phone and its rediculous lagging and random restarting.
 
Well the lg motion is a nice device! Had it myself. If only its screen was a bit bigger but top notch smoothness. Good luck with your motion!
 
thanks bro yea I bought the motion for my wife and she loves it, no issues ever lightening fast and yea the screens a bit smaller but seeing as how reliable it's been and for a straight trade I can't complain
 
this happened on all 3 handsets I had before I got rid of the damned pathetic phone. replaced the battery as well so that didn't help anything unfortunately

I now have the Motion and this thing is BEAST
 
My LG Esteem is restarting endlessly. I changed the battery and I updated with LGMobile Support Tool but there is still the same problem.
Right now, I cannot receive any phone call or text message.
What else can I try to fix that?
 
The motion is only a beast at first. It gets just as bad as the Esteem. My girlfriend has the Esteem and i had the Motion for 4 months before i had to switch to the S3. It gets slow, laggy and restarts itself constantly. Rooting won't help. It's no the battery because i had three different batteries for it because the battery life was crappy. Oh, and i also had 3 LG Motions so i didn't get a dud.
 
The Motion is a serious little phone. My mom has one and it has never gone wrong and she's had it ever since it came out. The Esteem is old and is running GB. I've said it several times that these new apps are optimized to run on 4.0 and higher thus causing phones like the Esteem to slow down and become unresponsive. I have a bone stock Esteem non rooted and didnt update any of the apps because its just a back up phone. Everything runs fine with absolutely no lag at all. It all depends on your apps and how you use your phone. Just my 2 cents.
