Root Event - Problems, problems, problems...

I have the following problems with this phone. (Really ******ed, I am hating this piece of junk.) Anyone who has solutions to any of these issues please let me know asap?

1. Cannot keep WIFI turned off. It flips back on by itself no matter what.
2. Random restarts. So annoyed by the boot sound, I had to change the boot image finally. It's embarrassing actually.
3. Need to figure out how I can mod the rom without being able to flash zips basically.

I'm certainly no tech Guru but I do have a couple ideas that may be of some help to you.

On problem #1. Check this out. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi You should see a list of available wifi sources. While on this screen touch your menu button, touch advanced and look to see if "wifi auto on" is checked. 2.Another possibility is,settings>More...>Mobile networks>connections optimizer> Not sure what you will find at this point my phone is rooted and I deleted whatever the connections optimizer leads to. I think it was the "Qualcomm Izat" App. 3. Look for the "Qualcomm Izat" app in your App drawer and see if the app can be turned off. Hope something here helps.

As for the randoms restarts... Since at least 90% of my crashes and freezes occur when I turn on WiFi I'll bet that if you can stop the wifi turning itself on you will greatly reduce the random restarts.

As to modding the rom... that's over my head.
