Now that you mention this. I bought this phone as an "open box" during the time time that the update to 1.6 had just ended and it came as a 1.5
 
Hmmm...well if something goes wrong maybe i'll have the updated version. If not, then I'll keep it till my contract is up... May switch to ATT then anyway and to an iPhone.

Astrid Task
Google voice
MixZing,
Meridian media player,
Pandora Radio

Those tools I most certainly use everyday.
 
I thought that I had everything I need, until I rooted and put on 1.6 Tweaked with Take 5. Now, I have WiFi tether, which I use exclusively for my internet connection.

I did this through Windows 7. First time I ever flashed any phone.

Daily use:

Barnacle (WiFi tether)
Pandora
Weather Bug
 
PdaNet (My Rom is Barnacle Capable, but i bought this before i got this rom months ago so i still use it)
Google Voice
K-9
Maps (I use the bus alot)
Foursquare
Facebook
Visual Bookmarks
ADW
Weather and Clock Widget (the one everyone uses, forgot its official name)
