The Z3 is now blank in the middle, maybe because that weird piece of plastic covering it has come partially loose. Meanwhile, the brand new 64 gb sd card I put in the Moto G Play is acting weird. It took 5 times for it to recognize it. I moved some downloads to it and was going to do some more, but it stopped working and is no longer listed. What is/are the problem(s)?

z3? the z fold 3? if so that happened to me where the manufactured screen protector was coming off in the middle. it did not affect the screen going black however. i had to take it in and they just told me that they would not fix it, but rather they would give me credit for a new one. i used that credit to upgrade to the z fold 4.

and as far as your sd card. have you tried taking it out and putting it back in? can you put the card into an adapter and hook it up to the pc? if so does the pc see the card? you might think about backing the card up and then reformatting the card.

Wouldn't you know being reported on would sober up the little nuisance immediately. I fired up the Moto G Play and this time the card showed. I was able to transfer the files just fine. I only hope it doesn't go bonky again. The Samsung Z fold 3 is unbelievable, and I don't mean that in a good way. Thank goodness I'm using it strictly as a camera because if I were relying on it for anything else, I'd probably be lost. The good news is that when it's shut the outside works just fine and all of the pictures are still there. Probably I should copy them to something "safe" (yeah right) just in case. That's unlikely to be the crimebook. I still haven't been able to force into the developer's trance. Is there some way I can skirt around that and just use the 2 tb Toshiba hard drive to store things? Also, the wireless mouse has inexplicably stopped working and I am again stuck with that crummy trackpad or whatever it is. I removed the transponder and plugged it in again, took out the batteries and returned them, on/offed the switch, all to no avail. The A02s is stuffed full and I would like to transfer some files at least to the Moto G Play. Is there a wireless way to do this? Please keep in mind that the Samsung A02s is about as low end as it gets, and I suppose too "modern" to bother with such niceties as nfc.

Does it work between phones? It would already have to be installed on the A02s, wouldn't it? I don't know if there's enough room for that.

With regard to the SD card, have you tried it in another device? Like thumb drives, there is a huge scam market selling these things that misrepresent themselves to the OS.

The SD card seems to be working ok now. I don't know why there was all that trouble earlier. About the A02s, I want to offload some things to ease congestion. Would it be better to put them on the Moto G Play or the crimebook? This is assuming of course that I can do either or both. Ideally I would just send files from the A02s to either or both of the others and thus have more room aboard the A02s. Of course, if I could just root these devices, I could kick garbage such as googoo to the curb and most likely have plenty of room.

Modern Samsung phones are garbage. Especially the flips/folds. They're basically doing a worse version of what the Kyocera Echo did in 2012, like most modern tech. Doing the same job in a far more frustrating way. I dream of the day we get the pace of actual tech progress we had back in 2010 back and start adding features and innovations instead of regressing like we've done since 2015+. If any OEM made a slider phone today, they'd find a way to mess that idea up as well.

The Z-series still suffer the crease issue which is unacceptable given these phones are double what a CrApple is in price.

There is GrapheneOS, which is a Google-free Android that is promoting privacy, but you have to get a Pixel to have it, which means giving Google your $$$ anyway. Seems we true Android geeks are damned if we do, damned if we don't in this 'future.' All Google seems interested in doing is following Apple.
