I know, I know... this is an Introduction Thread.. ed... ed...ed...ed......
BBone is happy to announce the birth of a rooted EVO 3D, one day after its arrival in a brand-new 2 lb. box, via FedEx. Recovery: TWRP (TeamWinRecoveryProject). Assisting mid-wifery: ocnbrze, EarlyMon, novoxx, DonB; primary OB/GYN: me (actually, all of the credit should go to the midwives)
The phone JUST SMOKES... it literally wants to jump out of your hand, with the CPU governor and other helpers. I'm so thrilled at the results (and, yes - there was a successful NANdroid backup - of everything!). For folks out there, who wish to do to their 3VOS (as ocnbrze calls them), what I've done with mine:
Like your Nana said: "Cleanliness is next to Godliness." Factory reset - then, I wiped, and, wiped some more - Dalvik, regular cache, et cetera - MULTIPLE TIMES, to kill any potential "ghosties"; then, the placement of su (Superuser - in this case, 3.07), and recovery (TWRP; PG86I.zip) on the root directory, outside of any folders; patience, fortitude, bravery (distant trumpets blare, like in the original film 'Spartacus')...
Seeing the NANdroid backup going on, after seeing the su file recognized, was sooooo peaceful. Watching the slimy green line go across the TWRP background on the 3VO'S screen, signifying a normal NANdroid backup going on... was just plain GREAT.
This is what happens to you, when you're old enough to be a member of AARP, disabled, and an oncology patient.
It should feel the same way to anyone who has a healthy appreciation for the continued advancement of telecommunications technology, and, the digital age that continues to grow, exponentially.
It also has to do with being a HTC supporter; which means, you're into Android. It rocks, for ####'s sake.
It ain't sex, but it's close! (if this was taking place during Barry White's heyday, he would've written a song about it: "...uuuhhhhhhhhh... I'm gonna put the root on ya, baby... uuhhhhhhhh... gimme some recovery, before I leave you, baby... mmmmmmm...
