Help EVO replaced tweetdeck issue with 140 limit

I am unable to type in anything over the normal 140 character limit on twitter. Tweetdeck is all about going past that limit. How can I fix this?
 
I used FriendStream and it post on my twitter n facebook at the same time and my limit was always 140
 
tweetdeck allows you to tweet more than the 140. when you see the tweet on twitter, is ends like this "Football team..." You click on it and it takes you to the tweetdeck to see the remainder of the tweet. It used to work on my EVO, like it does on my computer. Now that I downloaded, after getting the replacement, it doesn't.
