evo shift 2.3.4 root

Helly guys an ladies, i am new to this wonderful site. I was hoping if you could help me, ive been trying for the longest time to root my evo shift, and i was wondering with the new update with 2.3.4 if it is anywere near being able to root the evo shift... All help is appreciated, im sick of this phone and if its impossibble to root im gonna try a new phone out any suggestions on a good phone also will be appreciated. Thanks.
 
Hello SICKOFEVOSHIFT and welcome to AF this is a very wonderful site here you'll find a lot of what you need to know about rooting your phone and more we're all glad to have you :) I believe you'll find what your looking for in the phones section but from what I just read you can't root it at 2.3.4 :(
 
LOL! I hear ya... there were a ton of upset folks when Sprint/HTC updated the Shift.... I have since moved from Sprint to VZW, but here is a link to the root section for the shift. I never rooted the update, so I don't know how tough it is.... There are a couple folks over there that may be able to help if you get hung up.....
