Root Evo v running sense 4.0?

I'm deciding whether I should buy the evo v or the one v. I really like the camera on the one v and the various set of options in the camera app, especially the continuos shooting and near zero shutter lag also like that it comes with sense 4.0 (or a lightweight version of it) I'd rather have the larger screen of the evo, not a dealbreaker though, the 3D and 4G will not be used much, if any at all. I would like to know if there is a way to install sense 4.0 on the evo v. I also heard that the battery life on the evo is abysmal, is this true? The evo is an older phone and the one is much newer, which would you guys go with? Is the 2D camera on the one v better than the evo?

the camera quality and performance is pretty great tbh. different roms may have different results camera wise. i doubt the 2d camera quality on the evo v and the one v are different enough to be the basis of a purchase one way or the other. if "very good for a phone" is not up to your standards for a camera, you are honestly just better off getting an actual camera. most prepaid phones wont go beyond 5mp. there might be a couple 8mp outliers (typically just buying an unlocked gsm phone and slapping it on tmobile), but theyre not common and probably not that much better overall.

Both are really good phones.

If you are a power user, get the Evo V, plain and simple. Front and rear cameras, more roms, more tweaks, 4g, replaceable battery... However, it is a lot of phone, in size and money.

If you just want a really nice smart phone, get a One V. It's no speed demon, but it's fast enough, and a very nice phone. It's easy on the wallet, and thin in your hand.

You probably won't go wrong with either.

Oh, if you get Fast Burst Camera from the Play store, the Evo V will do fast/instant/multiple shots. Plus with a rom you get panorama, HDR and more.

I had the One V for a couple weeks I think and it is a really solid phone. Love its build quality, but ultimately it got bogged down (going back to the power user statement above), and I felt it wasn't future-proof enough.

Being older, I think the Evo is more suited to a use in a year than the One is.

I also took the One back because the screen scratched easily for me. It isn't Gorilla Glass. If it were, I probably would have kept it.

Thanks for the input guys. Hmm I didn't know there was an app for panorama and burst mode in the google store. As for the camera, I understand that it won't blow my mind or anything, after all it is a phone camera. I do like the screen on the evo but it I a bit more money, I don't think I'll be using the phone to its full potential since I'm not interested in 3D tech, or the front facing cam, or 4G (no coverage), I might get the one v though. I like how sleek it is. Any other caveats you have phone after using these phones? I also read that sense 4.0 doesn't support 3D tech so maybe this also means that the evo will never see a full working update with cameras and all.
