Help EVO Video Camera format on iMovie

I shot some test video and I'd like to do some editing in iMovie but it doesn't seem that the format is supported.

Do we need to convert it first? If so, how?

It was a very frustrating hour or so but I finally figured out that the EVO produced .3gp files and I was able to convert them by downloading Quicktime 7 and converting them. FYI if anyone runs into the same thing!

I've been changing each video from .3pg to .mov individually ....pain in my ass!! Can you convert multiple videos at once? And what format are you converting them to?

I think you can if you buy Quicktime PRO

Just rename it from .3pg to .mp4. Quicktime and iMovie will see it fine then. This works on Windows Quicktime as well.

PS Make sure you use mp4 compression in Video settings on the phone too.
