hi my name is kim and i dropped my htc evo in a warm bowl of soup. only the bottom half got wet and i immediately took it out and wiped it as much as i could.i took out the battery and tried to turn it back on and it turned back on once but then shut down again. i've been trying to get it to work but i've been reading on sites, that should just let it sit with the battery out for a while. what else can i do to fix it? please let me know if theres anyway to fix this without getting a new phone :/ . i also don't have a warranty on it :(

Hello there, welcome to Android Forums, Go to the phone shop, they'll replace your screen as your screeen is most likely water-damaged.

Welcome to the Android Forums!

With the battery removed, try placing the phone and battery separately into a bag of rice. Leave the phone and battery untouched in the bag for at least two or three days. If there is any moisture left this will most likely wick the moisture out. This is not a guarantee of resolving any moisture related issues but it might help!
