Evvernote app

I have the Dropbox app on my LG G2 and have a lot of text (***.txt) files on Dropbox when I open them to edit I get a list of apps to open them in. The one I want, Evernote, is not there is there any way to have this app included in the list so I can choose it to always open this type of file?

Many thanks in advance for any replies

You can open it in one of your available text editors, select all, and then share to evernote. That will create a new note with the text in the notes field.

Or else if you just want to share it as a text file attachment to evernote (not in the notes field), then from Dropbox:
Click on the pull-down menu on right side of the filename
select more
select export
select EverNote / CreateNote
It will create an Evernote note with the text file attached.

Then if you want you can go into the attached text file in evernote and copy everything, then go back and paste it to the note field. OK, a little clunky.

Hi
Thanks for the help,
I can't see any way of selecting all the text editors when I open the Dropbox file and then sharing the file, it only shows me 6 of them and only lets me select one to open the file with.
Is there no way of having the Evernote app in the list of text editors? this is a text editor and the app is installed on my LG G2.

Had a look at the app on the link you posted and under "Key Properties" the second feature listed is "Edit text......."

Still like to know how to get the Evernote app to be listed in the available apps to edit text files......... if anyone out there knows how???

Evernote can't edit txt files.

Evernote is a desktop program for making notes and collaboration. The app is just an interface for it on the mobile scene. It can edit the text of a note made on the desktop, as opposed to other desktop to mobile apps that can only view notes.

Basically, Evernote can only open and edit notes and text made using Evernote itself. It's not a txt editor.

This.

Evernote is a STELLAR app, but for the best use, you need to originate the note within Evernote, or copy and paste it over. If you're serious about editing in Evernote OP, I'd pull it up on a desktop and copy reach file over.
