Help Excessive Android System Time?

Seems my battery might be discharging a little quicker than it should. I am rooted not that it likely matters as other than VPN and ad block not much use of it. Below are shots where it dropped about 3% in my pocket for an hour. Maybe I am being over sensitive but never hurts to check, but I seem to always have Android System as my major power usage.

Yeah, that happened to me yesterday at work also. I put it back on the charger till it went to 100%, then shut it down and rebooted.

Seems to be back to normal, for now at least.

Wife and I got the same VZW 16gb Blue GS3. Funny enough, when I first booted both phones, a LOT of settings were completely different. I didn't think much of it, but now we find her phone is operating like you mention. The Android System keeps the system awake 100% of the time the phone is on. After 2 hours and 15 minutes of up time, and awake time of 2 hours, 15 minutes, she has 61% battery remaining! So at the recommend of a google search result, I reset the phone with a hard battery pull. It seems to have done the trick. You may want to try it.
