Last week when I was on 1.5 the Exchange ActiveSync worked properly about 90% of the time. What I mean is that within a few seconds of an email reaching my Outlook inbox on my desktop PC, my Eris would chirp indicating that the message just arrived.
This week now that I'm on 2.1 the 90% success rate has dropped to about 10%. I'd guess that since the upgrade the Eris only detects new messages about 10% of the time. When I slide open the screen there is no notification at all yet if I open the mail application it brings the new messages in right away. I believe the mail application is set to sync on opening.
Under Settings > Accounts & Sync > Exchange ActiveSync the Schedule is set to 'As They Arrive' so I believe it's configured properly.
The active syncing ability was acceptable in 1.5 but very disappointing in 2.1
