Exchange on Froyo

Question for all using Froyo with Exchange...

Has anyone experienced issues using exchange with Froyo? I want to flash it but just don't want to waste my time if its shotty. Company Directory is working? Send mail is working. "As Item Arrives" is working? Thank You. Have a great weekend.

When I quickly played around with the Froyo Rom I had no issues with my work Exchange account.

Didn't keep froyo for long though... so can't give you much more info.

Sooooo..... i flashed to Froyo and setup my exchange.... One issue, where/how do i get to or use the Company Directory? Can not find any mention of it? Please Help.

The company directory is still not working in Android 2.2 at least on my EVO 4G. But the good news is that you dont need it to work. There is a better way. I kept thinking that Google was supposed to be the king of searching, so I could not accept the fact that you cannot atleast search by company name. After doing some digging I found out a way to find contacts by company name.

Press the "+" sign next to "Phone" on your home screen then select "Widgets" next select "Google Search" then select "People" and place the search bar on your home screen. Now you can search your contacts by name, company, number, etc. You can select the contact and see the full contact info for that individual and dial the number from there. You can also have the search pull up related email, texts, etc. when you search for the individuals name.

I finally just drank the koolaide and bought (had company buy) Touchdown. We have a security policy that forces use of a PIN which makes phone use an absolute pain. The workarounds for this on 2.1 don't work on Froyo.

Now that I have used Touchdown for a couple months, I really like it. It's much better than the ASOP mail client and brings tasks from Outlook to my phone. Important to me.

Also allows me to have a pattern for access to my phone and only a PIN required when I open the Touchdown app. PIN is also only required 1/hour instead of everytime you turn your screen off.

Hate to sound like a commercial, but it really solved my issues. And corporate directory works fine.
