exchange only syncing through wifi(LAN)

[kylemalco]

Hi,

Newbie to android and recently have got a xperia miro. working pretty well so far but Ive been trying to setup exchange activesync.

I setup an account and it works on my work's LAN but not on wifi networks outside the office or on 3g, also the 3g is working for facebook twitter etc.
Also I should add my new work laptop connects to the outlook progrram while on the work's LAN but not on other networks if that helps point to the problem?

I thoroughly confused searching the web reading similar problems but havent quite seen anything that looks like a solution.

Thanks

If your laptop also has the problem then it points to a company IT policy issue to me. May be they've set things up so you can only get to it via your work wifi. Go talk to your IT people.
