So lets just see what we got coming down the pipes or already here:

1. SBF is out and available
2. Custom Recovery is now out and available
3. P3Droid has shown an interest in dev'ing for the X2 and we're working on getting him one to work with.
****Breaking News*****
4. JRummy from team liberty tweeted today that they're considering porting the Liberty ROM over to the X2.

Good things are happening people!!! Hang in there because when this thing gets going it's gonna be great!!!!

I'm more interested in an official GB release from Moto that remedies the phone's multiple problems.

I think it's great the the dev community is taking interest, but I'd prefer something official from Moto.

Dude, the screen issue has been beaten to death. It is what it is. Nothing, other than getting a different phone, is going to change the way the screen looks on the DX2.

You either like the screen, or you don't. Did you not play with one before buying? I can live with the screen, but I want updates to the myriad of other software-related issues on this phone.

Screen ain't know thing. But I agree... all I care about is the ever impending GB update. Please... Please God let us get this update.

I'm really glad we have custom recovery in the works. That's big, personally. I don't ROM, and don't really plan on doing so unless the ROM is such a major improvement it's a no-brainer. In reading ROM threads on the DX board, it seems every ROM has it's own inherent problems, so "fixing" problems of the stock rom is kind of moot. That being said, it would be nice to have a stock, blurless ROM I guess. However, the way my DX2 is set up now I can't really say I am having any problems currently (knock on wood). ADW EX for my launcher with custom theme. V6 supercharger with custom settings (my free ram sits around 100 now). SD speed increase. And remapping how the DX2 see's internal and SD memory. Music skipping is gone (it wasn't too bad to start with). The phone flies with no lag. Honestly, after being somewhat disappointed the first few days I had the phone, I am now quite happy. Hope I haven't jinxed myselfl, lol.

Can't wait for the custom roms myself. I wish Pete (Bugless Beast) would develop for it though. Still a great start with P3Droid and JRummy developing.

yeah i think one thing that is taking the devs so long is they probably don't want to work on a Froyo based rom for the X2 because GB should be around the corner. They would then have to rework all of the roms to take advantage of the GB parts.

I guess they could port over a Froyo based Liberty/Apex and other roms like that for the X2 but to me that would even be a waste of time.
