Exercise and the massive Note :D

Hi Guys,

Just wondering if anyone uses the note whilst out running?
I do quite alot of gym work and use the note as my MP3 player with a bluetooth headset http://www.amazon.co.uk/-/dp/B004XYI998?tag=fastchro-21 and this setup works just fine because I can place the note either on the equipment or on the floor or sometimes in my pocket if I'm not running.
At the weekend, the weather was nice and I thought I'd go for a quick jog but found myself leaving the note at home as it was too big to trust in my pocket and I wouldn't trust myself to run along holding it and not drop it.
I haven't seen, nor do I think I'd want to wear a 5.3 incher on my arm either.
Any suggestions as I'd like to utilise Endemondo but short of running with a backpack on and placing the phone in it, I'm kinda stuck.... :D
:o

I went out running last week with it, while holding it. I wasn't afraid of dropping it. I run mainly on grass anyway (to save my knees), so if I did drop it, it wouldn't be a big deal.

My favorite activity is cycling, so I got a bike mount, and used it for the first time yesterday. It's so awesome seeing speed, distance, etc on the Endomondo app on the large screen. I'm waiting for a heart rate monitor chest strap (will be here Thursday) so then i'll see heart rate, more accurate calories, etc.

But for running... even if you put it in a backpack, I don't think the GPS would work, thus making Endomondo useless. I think if you don't want to strap it to your arm, you'll just need to just hold it.

Maybe a cycling top? Don't they have zips in the lower back? There's a thought :D As for the GPS working, my old HTC Desire used to work fine in my pocket and that was without the Russian satellites ;)

I do the gym with my note in my shorts... Mind you i dont wear very official gym gears so to speak, they are more akin to khakis!

Must admit, it is rather big in that environment.

There's an Idea, Shorts with zippable large pockets.... Reckon that could be a route worth looking at. Doesn't the note keep banging against your leg though? I'd imagine if it was in a thigh pocket, you'd soon get hacked off with the banging after a few miles... #justsaying :D

Its in the normal side pockets, fits no problem. And no, it does not bang against my leg at all. I hardly notice it being there to be honest.

Weird that my old Nokia N8 use to bang against my leg, i think its to do with it being heavier and smaller (denser) and gains more momentum as i move.

What about a small bum bag or a decent case and then hold it while running; you could get a light DB to hold in the other hand to balance yourself out.
