Help Exfoliating paint problem

yeah..im suffering the same problem.. my note 2 just hardly two months old, the silver chrome is starting to peel...for a RM2K phone this unacceptable for this to happen..and now I realised im not the only one...is happening all over the world.

obvious usage of fake chrome/silver lining...

gonna go to the service centre and fight for a replacement...!!!

And? Do you have new phone?

Well. I suppose my fix will not be widely appreciated because it may sound a bit rudimentary. What I noticed now being in the year of 2014 is that the sides of the silver paint of my white G note 2 had almost 30% been peeled off so I resorted to use a very light sandpaper and sand it carefully to completely take the darn paint off which resulted in a perfectly white painted job from the underneath original white. I don't have a picture now but I'll post it if anyone is interested.

I did something similar with my Samsung S3 Neo. Almost 20% of the silver paint had peeled off, so I just removed the whole thing and used an oil-based nailpolish remover to smooth it out. The phone looks quite nice with black edges .
