Help Exlporer has crashed

EpicMyst

Newbie
Every time I try to put in a .MKV file into the root or even a "Videos" folder in my phone, explorer always crashes (not internet explorer, the explorer as in folders, task bar etc). How other way can I put videos and things into my phone? I tried an .avi file which worked but the mkv is more important.

Any help is appreciated!
Thanks!

Unfortunately, this may be the time you actually have to perform a factory (hard) reset. It sounds like you have a corrupted file.

This will reset everything back to when you purchased it. Try to back up your settings and preferences. (Or at least make note of them.)

Menu=>Settings=>Pricacy=>Factory data reset

Corrupted file where? I'm trying to put it in from my PC. If I recall correctly, this happened with my previous E4GT as well. Just want to make sure before I erase everything again, lol

Just tried another AVI which works as well.

Oh, glad you further explained. I missed the fact that you just couldn't get a video onto your phone.

I know that I sound like an evangelist with the Kies PC software, but it does have a specific part of the program that converts videos to run on the Epic 4G Touch.

Please read the info contained here ( http://androidforums.com/samsung-epic-4g-touch/415025-syncing-outlook-music-more.html ) and see if this might help out in moving and converting video files to your phone.

Let me know if I'm still missing your point!
