No it will not, since the original Nexus none have had expandable storage. There is zero chance of this happening, sorry.

The only chance for expandable storage will be through USB OTG if it's supported. There will be no micro sd slot at all.

there's definitely not going to be any external storage. HOwever, with the ease of use of cloud storage, why would you really need the extra sd storage? All music, movies, shows, etc can be put on google drive or play music now and streamed on your device. what use is an option for an sd card??

The rumor is that kitkat will have an icloud storage solution. I think getting a 32GB with that option you should be set. Unless for some reason you use your mobile phone as your primary storage device which I would recommend not doing

There was a kickstarter project for an external micro SD card but I couldn't get it to work with my Nexus7. I wonder if it will work with the Nexus 4?

The "Nexus" brand of android devices never supported expandable memory. I personally think it is more of a "purist" android device, with stock android and with the "less is more" philosophy in the build. Just my 2 cents.

Think cloud storage could work provided you have an always on unlimited internet. If you got limited metered cellular internet it could become rather expensive, unless using WiFi. Other thing is if you leave the United States, say go on a foreign holiday, you'll lose access to your music and movies, due to geo-restrictions AFAIK. Sufficed to say Google Drive, Movies, etc. are not available here.
