Expansys delayed until Jan 20th

I spoke with them today and they just got this information in so just a FYI in case anyone wanted to cancel that worthless pre order and try to find one at a Best Buy when they come in that's what I am trying to do if they even come before Christmas I am starting to think they are not.
 
I don't trust customer service sometimes. I'll keep my pre-order and if BB or any other brick and mortar gets some next week I'll buy it and cancel.
 
It makes some sense, they were late to the party on PO so... BB and Amazon and others had already taken and closed PO before these guys even started. So, they likely had no PO allotment in all actuality.
 
Yeah, I have a preorder with these jokers, and really hope to get my hands on one before the 20th.

How long do u need to stay on hold with expansys, I was NEVER able to get thru. I really started to lose trust in these people.

I tried to call Expansys USA 5 different times since my preorder on 12/10 - each time waiting on hold 30+ minutes with no pick-up. I have left voicemail and also called the UK number. I have emailed all available email addresses listed on the site - no responses.
Finally I posted my frustration on their Prime forum and then today I cancelled my order with them by deleting the entries online. I have emailed again, asking them to confirm my cancellation.

Partly I made the decision to cancel after reading similar Expansys experiences in other forums.

I have since preordered with Amazon (64GB) and Fry's (32GB). Neither have the keyboard for preorder, but I can wait for that.
 
I just checked the Expansys forum and it seems they took down the Prime thread - I think because of my post about the lack of communication. The moderators could have posted and addressed these issues, but instead they deleted the thread.
That's a statement in itself.
 
Not sure if I'm dreaming or what, but I tracked the shipment on UPS and it's now scheduled for an early delivery.....left Portland at 2 AM on the 18th and due to arrive on the 19th by the end of the day......now having said all this I probably just jinxed the whole operation.

I actually have been having an opposite experience with them. I have been going back and fourth with one rep over the past three days, i had an issue with my shipping info not matching my billing info (i don't trust my neighbors). needless to say they have fixed it and i changed my order to reflect the champagne 64gb version (so i can start my champagne campaign). I think the jan 20 date is worth the wait. besides if i find it at best buy or my local gamestop i can cancel anyway. Cheers
 
I received this email today about my preorder of the 64 GB grey Transformer Prime.

Dear Customer,

Although the Tranformer Prime was supposed to be available this week, ASUS have now pushed the availability date to mid-late January on this tablet. We have plenty of these on order and will ship your pre-order on a first come first serve basis as soon as stock lands with us. No customers will have their accounts charged until orders actually ship.

We apologize for the incovenience caused by this unforseen manufacturer's delay, and will continue to keep customers informed of the situation. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or need to make any changes to your order.

I will keep preorder active just in case and try local stores in the next week or two like Best Buy, Brandsmart, GameSpot,etc. Anyone getting frustrated yet?
 
I got the same e-mail after I e-mailed them first. Why are they so behind the pre-order curve when they spout BE FIRST on their website. I read on Asus Facebook page last night that some people have already received their Prime. WTF? I'll keep my pre-order open but I'm still going to look hard for one. I don't think my wife will keep the money in the account until the end of January.
 
I got the email as well. I doubt that at this point it is likely that any other retailer will be getting the Prime out before the 20th if you missed the first wave of preorders, so I'm just going to stick with mine, although I may put in an order through Amazon just to hedge my bets.

Edit: I just checked Amazon, and they are posting an expected delivery time of four to seven weeks, which puts them right around the same time period as Expansys.
 
I received an email from Expansys stating that they had my TP grey 64gb in stock and was ready to ship. I accepted reluctantly and hope I'm one of the lucky ones with no problems
 
I just cancelled my expansys preorder for the 64gb champagne. I placed it on 1/6, then placed preorders w provantage and adorama last night. Provantage called to confirm my order this morning, and billed me today. About to call them n see if that means its shipping soon.
