I am sure I do something stupid... but I have trouble sending messages to cells not in my contact list.. I open "messaging".. then "new message" type in message.. then try to enter number in "add recipient" but all it does is search my contact list, and tell me I have no such contact.. I must enter each cell number into my contacts before sending.. why cannot i just type the number and send?

Type the message > Click > add Recipient > Enter the number in the box at the top > Hit Add > Then hit "Done" at the bottom of the screen > then "Send"
