experia x10a issues

I have an Experia x10a that I have updated from 1.6 to 2.1 update 1. I have rooted the phone using Bin4ry's flash tool. My issue is that my market and appbrain are force closing and i'm not able to install xrecovery after several attempts. I'm wanting to install JIT and perhaps a custom mod but the phone is not cooperating. Any suggestions.
