Explain Fantasy Football Please

Hey guys i found many threads about fantasy football and i wonder now what is this? would some one explain cus i would like to join theese conversations.
 
Which site should i register on to play with all peoples here or do i have to pay real cash to play or something ?
 
It's where you have your own roster with QB, Wide Receivers, Running Backs, Tight Ends, Kickers, and Team Defenses. Sometimes people use defensive players in their leagues.

Players earn points for rush/pass/receiving yards, touchdowns, 2 point conversions, made field goals, etc.. anything positive.

(Except for your team defense in which they gain in this aspect) Your players lose points for interceptions, fumbles, negative yards, missed field goals, etc..

Your team goes head to head with a member of the league each week in a snaking order.

Person with the most points at the end of the week wins that week. Final weeks of the regular season are playoffs for the top fantasy players in the league.

It's too late to join our league but you can still join a random league if you want I think.

go to yahoo fantasy sports or espn fantasy sports to sign up.

It's free but some people do cash.

Which site do people on this forum play on Yahoo or espn?
And another question what happends to the winner of the final week? and what do you get from it ?

The official Android league is yahoo but people that talk about it here play on espn too.

The winner gets a big gold trophy on their fantasy player profile and pride.

Or money if the league worked out a payment system. Ours didn't because NYCHitman1 would have hacked the money pool out of the paypal account.

Fantasy through NFL.com is quite good too. They have video clips of each player since they own the rights to the broadcast. No other fantasy site can offer that.

But that being said, I learned fantasy football on Yahoo and I continue to set up a team there each year.

All the sites use the same official stats. But they are not linked. If you sign up for a yahoo league, it has nothing to do with an ESPN.com or NFL.com league.
 
It is pretty simple, you really just need to get into a league. After 1-3 weeks you will know pretty much how it all works.
