Can someone please explain why in the hell would paid apps be blocked from certain countries. I see a load of apps that are paid, and in all the forums alot of people ready and willing to pay for them but they cant because its blocked. Your restricting revenue for developers?

Wow thats really encouraging for android markets.

How do I get Better Keyboard and or Openhome or dxtop?

Im in Canada. Blocked. Doesnt this encourage pirating?

they're working on it. they're just having issues with payment or something. it's not like they're doing it on purpose just because they hate us. we'll have paid apps soon. don't worry.

I have successfully bought couple of apps on market and I am in Australia.
Thing is, refunds do take some time. Debits come out straight away.
Authorization sometimes take very long. I think Apple's itunes payment system is more sophisticated. Zero wait time. Almost instantly.
Google needs to take a leaf out of Apple's successful billing system.

I'm in Canada too, and blocked. I'm reasonably certain there would be some financial issues to be dealt with between Rogers and.Google before money transactions can take place.

It doesn't surprise me. I would appreciate a guesstimate at a time frame, though.

im in singapore. and i can't see the great paid apps in the market too. hope they solve this soon!

I am a US Citizen working in Vietnam. I have a US Bank Account and US credit cards. I can pay Gizmo5.com using Google Checkout BUT I can't pay the Google Market??? Something is wrong here !!!

I live in Norway, and I have set up a Google Checkout account linked to my MasterCard, but I still get no paid apps...

Really stupid, they should have a global solution! Google needs to fix this before I can recommend Android to other tech-savvy friends.

Same here, I'm in Switzerland and can't see any paid apps in the market. My Google Checkout account works fine, so why can't they just tie it to that?

I've been pestering Rogers as much as possible to open up paid apps. if more of us in Canada did that, maybe they'd start listening? I've called customer service twice, and emailed 3 times now.

In the US, T-Mobile will be launching a direct-to-bill payment option for the My Touch (Magic) when it comes out later this month.

Keep the pressure on Rogers for paid apps!
