Explain your username!

Simple enough, right?

Mine - I like polka dots, and when registering I happened to be wearing a couple of polka-dotted garments...seemed like an easy enough pick for a username.
 
I was thinking of a new name for a character on an MMO I was about to play.

Recently I'd been paintballing, and the guy said that minors weren't allowed to use the paint grenades because they were pyrotechnics. That made me think about a pyromancer, since I like making fire wizard type characters, and pyromancer was taken, so I reversed the 'yr' to make Pryomancer. :D
 
I use the same username for everything: email, usernames on all my sites I am a member of, etc. I have done this for years. It's just my first and last name with the vowels removed.
 
WELL when i was little I used to be obsessed with this show called Mobile suit Gundam, and one of my favorites was the RX-76-6 mudrock gundam. When my mom helped me make my first email, mudrock was taken so i added the 1000. Since then I've made my email more hip but for usernames I use mudrock1000 :P
 
In the Dune prequal books by Kevin J. Anderson and Brian Herbert (excellent books if you like the Dune universe), the Thinking Machines at one point had control of the majority of the universe with many human slaves, and hrethgir was their term for free or feral humans.
 
Distant.Echo is typically the handle I use (from a song by Snow Patrol) by I've shortened it to just Distant if not already in use.
 
Well I live in the South Florida area so I took the beginning of each word and came up with SoFLO. I know, I know...genius :p
 
tater is my work nickname and my grandpa used to call me katydid. i combined them, came up with taterdid and well, it flowed well into 'itoo', thus taterdiditoo!
 
i'm a (sorta) Friend of Bill's, and way back when, I had a friend tell our other friends that I walked in to his office and told his secretary to tell him that "the sultan of sobriety is here wants to talk to _____ now!"

I never did this, but it stuck, and now people call me "The Sultan"
 
Mine is just my first name and then the street number of our first house.

mine dates back to the teen years. IOWA was an album i listened nonstop for a while by a band named slipnot. they also just so happen to be from Iowa.
