[EXPLOiT] HTC Evo V 4G allows any passcode to unlock phone

Discovered that ANY passcode can be used to unlock my phone today. 1234, 5678, etc

4.0.3 (Not able to update, updater reboots phone then prompts to install itself again, endless loop.)

Not very happy about this HTC...

Who else is seeing this?

Ive never seen any password unlock a phone before.

Can we get more info about your phone?

In the meantime, can you switch to Pattern Unlock and see if that works properly?

only time i had problems like this is with dirty flashes of ROMS.

Are you still on the factory sense

I have not done S-off

I was using face recognition which seemed to work ok, similar looking people or a picture of my face would not unlock it. the problem is when it prompts for passcode after it does not find or recognize face.

Pattern-lock works and a few bad attempts were not successful, so that is working

As I was going through setting up pattern-lock I was prompted for passcode twice. Both times I entered complete garbage and I was able to see it say something like 'try again' for half a second then just proceeded to next screen anyway
