Root explorer gsm unlock help please

hey guys whats up.. just got an htc explorer gsm phone from mexico and id like to unlock it for use here in the usa. were can i find a step by step guied or video to do that. thanks in advance

I checked that site out as well as other sites and the majority charge for the service but Im hoping maybe someone can direct me to a self service guide or a software to do the unlocking without having to pay a fee.
