Export of Notes to PC - impossible?

How to export multiple Notes (in bulk) from Android to PC/iPhone or cross-platform service in a manageable fomat?

Maybe i'm just not no smart enough - and i apologize in advance for this;

But I've been looking hi and lo all over the web for a tangible method of making bulk-export of Android Notes (Xperia M4 Droid 6.0.1) to a (somewhat generic and) workable format for crossplatform note-apps or services to import (to i.e Google, iCloud, iPhone, Win7-apps.).
So far to NO avail (!?!)

Even expensive third party apps. don't include Notes in their transfer and export functions whereas lots of other stuff seems to be included. Only exception is Notes that are allways grayed out/not clickable or simply missing...

Is this really an impossible task, or is there a method, please anyone?

Looking forward to hearing more ;o)

Just to be sure, can you tell us precisely what app you are using to write these "Notes"? Because there are many apps of that name, and they need not have anything in common, so unless we can be certain what app you are using to write them we may give advice for a different app (and hence inappropriate). Play Store link or developer name would be unambiguous.

(None of my own devices have ever come with an "android" Notes app, though several have come with manufacturers' apps or a third-party app the manufacturer chose to install. That's why even if it's pre-installed on your device that doesn't necessarily tell someone with a different device what it is).

Digging around online, apparently Sony in its infinite wisdom included a 'Notes' app in their phones. What you're experiencing is a classic example of what's commonly referred to as 'vendor lock in'. It's a nasty way for some company to intentionally provide a product or service to its customers that will continuously 'lock' them into using it because switching to an alternative is either cost-prohibitive and/or very labor intensive. Microsoft got away with it for years with its Office suite, Apple has perfected the process with its own highly functional but isolated ecosystem, Facebook is doing the same with its policies on allowing unlimited importing of data and very curated (and also profitable) exporting of data. Etc., etc., etc.
This Notes app doesn't appear to have very expansive export tools and this being a proprietary Sony app (proprietary being a key word), other third-party services cannot not legally and freely access Note-saved data. So instead of searching for a 'bulk-export' solution you might want to focus your efforts on just individually or file-type group converting/exporting. If you have several hundred or thousand items accumulated, it is a very daunting task but your option is to just keep using Sony's Note app until it stops working and then you'll be forced to do something, or migrate what you can now to more be more universally compatible in the future.

Interesting. Is it not possible to exports notes from this app in some generic format e.g. XML?
I'm guessing not o_O

Sorry. You are quite right; believed it was an Xperia-droid feature. But it's rather MyPhoneExplorer keeping it together I now realize.

I can bulk-export in either .vnt, .csv, .xml or .txt it seems.
Now i just need to figure out, how to import any of these formats to some (don't know which?) cross platform note app.

Any thoughts on this, please?

Thx for answer. In some way this app now seems to be tied together with MyPhoneExplorer - MPE sort of keeping it together it seems hence able to make a representation of notes (and calendar) it on an MPE-client on my PC it seems (!)

From the client I can actually bulk-export in either .vnt, .csv, .xml or .txt it seems.

Bulk exporting will most likely need to be done in groups, either organized by file type or by end result. The file types you listed have some cross-over as far as compatibility but are mostly going to depend on the actual content (which you have to determine) and the resulting end-use (again, something you're going to determine).
.vnt -- https://fileinfo.com/extension/vnt
.csv -- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comma-separated_values
.xml -- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XML
.txt -- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Text_file
In the case of vnt it's a closed standard so while you export it to txt this will save the content itself but any style/formatting will be lost. If you're looking for some kind of quick fix solution, be prepared for more of an involved project. Break things down into a certain number of files at a time, or by a timed session (i.e. half hour, or two hours, or whatever daily).
Escaping vendor lock-in is by design rarely simple or easy. How many files/items are you looking at?

Ha-ha... Thx for reply.
And yes it certainly appears to be so :D)
It's 'just' 300+ notes (some beefy ones in between)

300+ Ouch, also suggest a big bag of your favorite snack while you're converting batches.
(..... and be sure to back up your files as you're working. It's completely demoralizing to spend hours working on a something and then lose it because of some accidental event. Contrary to this, once it's all done it'll be a great feeling to know you just 'beat the system'.)
