Unfortunately, the export is in image mode (even with a pdf). However, the original smb files must have vector info into them since they are editable by S Note. For anyone advanced, the smb files are Open XML files, like the MS Word docx files. If you rename the smb to a zip, you can browse its contents. In theory, someone with the right skills can make a converter to vector pdf. I hope that Samsung will eventually offer it, but I am not holding my breath.
Good S Note alternatives are "Quill" and "Papyrus" from the market. That is, if you want to primarily take notes and export in a vector format.
