Android Question

I am using a Samsung S3 SPH-L710 running 4.4.2.
I have just noticed that the exposure compensation is not working on the 3rd party camera apps I have installed.
I have actually done some test using Camera FX, High Speed Camera, HDR Camera, Camera FV-5, Google Camera, and the stock Android Camera.
The only one that showed a change of exposure was the stock android camera. This may have been caused by the KitKat update. I am really sure I remember Camera FX, and HDR camera working correctly at one point. I also found a few posts mentioning the same thing, but they were from last year.
Has anyone else noticed this?
