Root EXT4 /data/data fix: phone pretty screwy now

Hi there everyone!

I had finally had enough of the low space warnings and against my better judgement, installed the EXT4 ALL mod. I updated CWM to latest, did a nandroid backup and installed the no data limit normal dalvik mod.

Upon reboot, the phone seemed to have gotten half-assed amnesia. My account was still listed and it synced, but until the sync, all my mail, contacts, etc. was missing. Any non-stock apps had lost their data. I initially thought it was no big deal as I was willing to set everything back to rights if it was going to solve my space issue.

Then I began running into my issue with purchased apps. For instance, aWallet Cloud. It wouldn't sync because it couldn't verify my license. No biggie, I thought. I will just uninstall and reinstall. Uninstall went fine, but Google Play says I don't own the app. After looking, every app I've ever paid for no longer shows as owned and wants me to purchase again. If I try purchasing one again, I get "Error retrieving information from server. [BM-PPH-01]".

I'm not sure what to do. I tried removing my google account from the phone in an attempt to add it back and resync, but it won't let me remove the google account due to applications being bound to it(the same applications it says I no longer own).

Any ideas? I'm all ears if you have one :)

Thanks for your time!

Could try the " market doctor" in titanium backup, or restoring your apps with titanium ( if you had used it to make a backup). other than that, really don't have any other ideas.

I never had a need for that mod when I had an Inc.

Thanks for your reply. I'll goof around with it a bit before I cry uncle and restore the backup. Hopefully I'll be able to get it figured out.

It happens some times when data dosent correctly transfer during the modding. Go to recovery and do an advanced restore of /data and /datadata if /datadata is an option to restore (only in cwm i think, twrp puts them together under /data). If that dosent work do a full wipe, flash your rom followed by the ext4 mod, and then go about setting things up again.

Also check out an app called nandroid manager. It will reinstall apps and their data from a nandroid backup. Makes a fresh setup much quicker.

I get his when trying to download the c pro Craigslist app.

I'm able to purchase other apps without problems though

i have the same issues on both my phone and tablet. the play store tech person said that this must be an issue on their end, not my device. she is pushing it up the chain and said i should hear from her in 48 hours. my tablet is galaxy tab2 7, stock. my s4 is rooted stock rom with wifi. i did try the factory reset on my tablet and now i can't update apps, purchase them or see them on my account. Fun is
