I'm not sure what are you trying to say but you can choose diferent types of unlocking styles. pattern, slide or pin code.
Having pattern and pin code can be very annoyng because the screen locks it self very quickly and you would have to do the same thing many times.
You can increase the time of the automatic screen locking by increasing the time of the backlight, although it will never be possible to lock the screen manually.
There's an aplication that prevents you from having to unlock the screen everytime you want to unlock. It's called "No lock".
