Extended Batteries

Hi Guys,

Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for extended batteries that work well in the S2.

I just can't justify spending 79.99 on a extended battery from mugen..

That almost seems too good to be true. Amazing price for a battery with greater mAh and what seems to be no difference in depth. Might have to pick up one of these in the future.

I've been using the Anker 1900 mAh battery for about a week now. After a couple charge/discharge cycles, Battery Monitor Widget measures its capacity as 2050 mAh.

mines on its first charge now, have you noticed any real difference between it and the original battery?

I've said it before...

Surely, Samsung will have crammed as much capacity as possible into the space occupied by the original battery - For the sake of a few cents/pennies on what is already a very expensive handset, I don't for one second think the coin counters/boffins will have said "lets save a dollar/pound and make our device much less competative/attractive"

These cheap "extended" capacity batteries on ebay/amazon and the like are just that - CHEAP... You can't squeeze a pint into a half pint pot.....

Just my 2p...

The one I linked to IS a Samsung Branded battery. From Samsung - not an off brand battery.

It also comes with a cover, according to the title, which looks different to the original one, so my guess from looking at it is that the battery is thicker and needs a new cover to accommodate it making the whole phone thicker and a different shape. If this doesn't bother you then there shouldn't be anything wrong with the Samsung one (I can't give any opinion on the non Samsung branded ones, as I've always stuck with the original manufacturers batteries in my phones).

I know that - I was talking about the "same size" replacement "extended" batteries, which just physically cannot live up to their claim - Obviously a bigger physical casing gives room for more capacity - at the expense of making your S2 fatter than an Iphone 4!!
