I just purchased the droid x extended battery, and while it works wonderfully the battery gauge is way off and it's driving me nuts. The battery will read 5% left by 11am, but will continue working another 12 hours after that. I'm rooted, so I dl'ed and used "battery calibrater" in the market, and have gone through multiple full charge/discharge cycles to no avail. I've downloaded other battery monitoring widgets, but they all read the same as the stock one.
Another weird thing is that when the battery is totally dead, and it's plugged in the phone doesnt boot for at least an hour or so because the phone still thinks it is at 0%. When the phone finally turns on though, I can disconnect it immediately and use it for several hours.
fwiw, I bought it off a 3rd party new on amazon, but the hologram looks legit for OEM.
