Extended Battery (Verizon)

Also give any input about other extended batteries that you might own for the Nexus besides the one from Verizon since i already own it.

Hey i read an article that had a new 3900MAH battery for the Verizon Nexus by Mugen Power and was wondering if anyone here purchased it and would want to give their review of it.

[HLI-I515XL] Buy Mugen Power 3900mAh Extended Battery for Verizon Samsung Galaxy Nexus SCH-i515 with Battery Door

Mugen Power 3900 mAh Galaxy Nexus extended battery review | Android Community

The only comment I have is that this is almost as fugly as the Seidio one! heh...I mean, seriously, they couldn't come up with a more attractive way to pack in a huge battery? Gah!

lol yea they both make the phone look hideous. Idk why a company cant come out with something like how the iphone has a extended battery and it acts just like a case and doesn't make the phone look ridiculous.

Those huge batteries are soooo friggin ugly! I have also heard that they do not live up to their advertised capacity. At 3900+ mAh, you should easily double the battery life of a stock battery, but from what I've heard it doesn't double it. Maybe a 50% gain. Still substantial, but not double as advertised.

The 2100 mAh extended for VZW phones is nice. It doesn't add any bulk, just changes the contour of the back slightly, and offers a little increase. It's noticable, but it's not a game changer. Worth the $25 I paid though.

Yup, they almost never are as they're advertised. ;)

I had the 2100mah extended battery from Samsung but upgraded to the seidio 3800mah battery a week ago. It's like night and day. The seidio llasts forever. I leave everything on now and am about to get rid of the power control widget.

About the only way I've been able to drain it was to use it was a wireless hotspots. I was sharing Verizon's lte with a laptop so it could stream videos. Started at 80 or so and got down to 26% after 4 hours straight. But if you have Verizon then you know lLtd is a huge battery drain.
