Apps Exterme Decline in App Downloads

I have an app on the Android Market called Coupon Caddy. For the first 8 weeks there was a constant 4 - 7 downloads a week. All of a sudden the last two weeks there hasn't been a single download. I
 
I saw a weird dip a month or two ago but at the time Google was having trouble with Market stats. So every app saw the dip. It was kinda funny actually. It looked like everyone just hated every app :D

Other than that I've seen things increasing, albeit slowly, as they always have. (well, when I maintain the apps).

Have you posted an update recently? Seeing any extra bug reports? Anything in the comments to suggest something is amiss?

No new comment or bug reports. Both comments I have are positive and I have 0 bug reports. Yes, I did an update to the app and still downloads are at 0. Approaching 3 weeks now of no downloads and I'm baffeled. I really think Google must have change my apps search ranking.
 
Hmm. Don't know what else to tell ya then. Maybe link your app in your sig here when you get 25 posts (I can't see how many you have from phandroid app). Send a copy to some Android news sites, etc.

Well I guess my app just must suck because I have literally submitted to 50 app review sites, 500+ coupon blogs, 200+ android blogs, 10 pod casting companies, local TV news stations, created twitter, facebook, and you tube accounts. I tried admob and facebook advertising and spent several hundred dollars and got 0 downloads.

My main concern is the drop off though not the low amount of downloads I have when it was being downloaded. It just doesn't make sense to me that people would just magically stop downloading one day.

Thanks for the ideas. I don't have the app in my sig but will add it. Any ideas on how to mass promote?
 
I have seen a sharp number of "Payment Declined" buyers from my Google Payment account. What exactly is a payment declined? Is that somebody who buys the app and then says no I don't want it or a person with a bad account status?
 
Ok so I read on Google Checkout what payment declined state means. Does you users continue to have my app if the payment is declined? Seems odd that there would be a sharp increase in the number of people trying to download my app who have bad or invald credit cards.
 
No, your card is authorized before you even get a chance to start the download. I think you are just looking too hard into this. If everything you said about marketing is true, then your app simply isnt something people need or want. No offense. There are a number of people who will just download new apps to see what they are like. your initial downloads are likely consisted entirely of these people.
