External battery charger recommendations

I'm planning to buy a Gorilla Gadgets extended battery, and I want to purchase an external charger along with it. I'd prefer one that can handle the GG battery and the OEM battery, but not a strict necessity.

What is necessary is keeping the price low for something usable and decent quality. I don't need the $25+ charger/stand combo right now.

This one seems to be really slow at charging (even the good reviews state this): http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B008JRSTEU?qid=1377351825&sr=8-1&vs=1

This one comes with extra batteries, but it's from Hong Kong and my last experience getting one of these straight from China ones (on eBay) wasn't good, the batteries it came with and the OEM battery didn't fit the charger: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0088VUXTQ/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?qid=1377351825&sr=8-4&pi=SL75

Does anyone have recommendation that is similar to one of these two but does charge reasonably fast? Is the straight from Hong Kong one worth it?

Even a high priced generic charger wouldn't charge your S3 as fast as the charger which came with your phone. Generic chargers haven't that modification for fast charging which Samsung does with their chargers.

Thanks, I ended up just going with the cheapest one that shipped with my Prime membership given what you said. Long term I want it so I can have extra batteries as needed, but immediately I wanted to be able to charge the OEM battery while I put the GG battery through the suggested conditioning.

Well, if fast charging isn't absolutely necessary you'd use every generic USB charger (with enough amperage to charge your phone) :)

The OP posted URL's to external chargers. As in you don't charge the battery in the phone. The stock charger's, or any charger that plugs into the phone has nothing to do with the question.

I have a charger from Onite I picked up from Amazon with spare batteries for my previous phone. It says it supports the S3's battery but I haven't tried it yet. However for my old phone it charged the batteries great in around 2 hours. Very handy to have if you have spare batteries. Charging them in the phone would be a real PITA.

This isn't the exact one I bought but it's basically the same thing:
http://www.amazon.com/Onite-2300mAh...d=1377375208&sr=8-1&keywords=onite+s3+battery

You can also plug a micro usb cable into it to charge the phone and spare battery at the same time. Although I'm not sure of the charging rate and have never tried that.

I've odered several extra batteries and chargers fron both ebay and amazon. They batteries were never as good as the Samsung batteries. The chargers never worked for very long. I now use the Samsung extra batteries and charger. They work well and continue to work well. In the long run they are the most cost effective.
