Extra home screen?

I was curios when I saw the video about Google Now access on the left most home screen if we can actually dictate which is the main home screen. I would like the Google Now screen to be the first screen on my left from my main home screen. In the video it show scrolling two screens over to the left to access Google Now screen. Not sure that this is even customizable though. I have only seen this feature is custom launchers.
