Extremely low quadrant score

Just update to .435 and installed JiT v2 via xRecovery and my Quadrant score is lower than the X10 benchmark! I scored 250 earlier then 338 just now!

Any ideas anyone? Phone seems ok but I thought Quadrant was gospel.

Thanks Superbrowndude.

Can you tell me if installing a custom ROM wipes my phone completely? I have Titanium but I'm just afraid I'll lose stuff.

If you install a custom rom you do lose it all.

So do a backup of your contacts. I suggest using the sync using a gmail account. I also suggest using AppBrain. (where you login using your gmail account...save the list of current apps you have installed) Then once you've installed a customer stripped down rom, you can install AppBrain and click Sync and it will download all the same apps you have loaded now.

As for you not wanting to lose stuff....that also might be your problem.

Things that slow your phone down are things like too many apps, widgets, too many apps, apps running in the background and not closing....all that stuff.

Thanks for replies both.

I backed up via xRecovery in prep to install a custom ROM but bottled it! I read a guide that would enable me to flash back to my original state if I wanted - it involved copying out the backup folder to a PC but unfortunately my ex took the damn laptop during the break up...

Anyway, I've just realised why my Quadrant score was so low: SETCPU was set to "On Demand". I chaned this to "Performance" and, Voila. Score hit the high 700's!

I will install Eminence at some point, but not just yet.

Thanks guys.
