Hi,
I apologize for the ezeStand not activating the Multimedia mode with the Body Glove cover. I have updated the website to notify Body Glove owners of this limitation. I will review the design in conjunction with the Body Glove case to see if there is something that can be done to make the Multimedia Mode to trigger.

Another option for Body Glove owners is to download the Dock Runner free application which will allow you to self activate the Multimedia Mode.

Sorry for your inconvenience and if you want to return the ezeStand we will glady refund your money.

Not looking for a refund. If you figure out a minor design change I'd love to see it so I could have both.

I do have Dockrunner, but the turning it on/off is annoying

Or use Bedside. It's a FAR better night clock app. Been using it for a couple of months now, absolutely LOVE that app!

Stronger magnet? I'm guessing it uses a regular magnet. Buy a "rare earth" magnet that is about the same size and you may have better luck getting it to activate the multimedia mode through the case.
 
Got my ezestand today. This is a great design! I like it so much I put in an order for a second one. I understand they are backordered, but I couldn't wait!
 
I just got mine yesterday. For a piece of molded plastic it's super sturdy and I love the little rubbery grips that are put on as well. I have the Verizon branded rubber "case" for my Droid.

This looks closest to what I got but it ISN'T this. Mine is more rubbery.

Even with the case on though in horizontal layout after a few seconds it goes into dock mode. I would assume all you'd really have to do is buy a medium size disk or square rare magnets. I buy from Strong Neodymium Magnets Rare Earth K&J Magnetics and have loved their service and quality. They've sent me free samples too which is awesome.

Try one of these and stick it on the back of the clip. It should stick to the magnet inside the dock and intensify the magnetic field and you should be fine!

I just received mine. I love this thing! So simple yet so perfect! Darn near future proof too. The only mod I'm gonna do is fill the mould caverns with lead sinkers and hot glue shut for weight. Thank you for a nice product at a good price!
 
Just pluged it in and set it in the holder...

The only thing that is touchy is the media dock does always work.. I guess the body glove rubber is to thick for the magnet.

Simply drop the magnet inside the bottom cavity of the ezeStand and it will attract itself to the embedded magnet and presto - Multimedia works great even with the body glove. I'll be adding this additional magnet to all future orders.

Great customer service :). I just sent you an e-mail for mine. Mine works ok about half the time, other times I have to re-seat my phone to get it to dock right. I have this case on mine.

This stand is awesome though and I'm considering getting a 2nd one for my office! If I do, can I just specify in my Paypal comments to include the magnet or something if I get another one?

I ordered mine the first night Todd posted about it in this thread. It came a couple of days later and has worked great. For something so lightweight, it has a very sturdy feel and the rubber pads are a nice touch. I have an Amzer hard crystal snap-on case (which, a little off-topic, I highly recommend -- fits perfectly, doesn't impede the slide out keyboard at all, and has a nice rubberized feel to it). The magnet that came with the ezeStand has worked great with the case on -- it just takes a couple of seconds to switch to dock mode.

All future ezeStands shipments will include the extra magnet (already assembled) so it will work with all cases!

I have some new 6' USB cables in stock now so I've added the ability to "Add to Cart" on the cables on the website. The ezeStands are still on back order expecting to ship ~ 3/11/10.

Just a quick note I had emailed Todd yesterday for the magnet replacement and I had a reply from him literally within 5 minutes. Great service and a great product, I'm loving mine at home so far so much I may get another for work :)

This isn't holding up so well lol

I'm guessing it doesn't hold the phone secure enough to say velcro the bottom and stick it to the dash?:p

I guess it depends on how fast you drive :) I had the ezeStand sitting on the dash of my car while driving and it almost made it through the trip before spilling off and on to the floor going around a corner - doh!
But hey, I'll start thinking about a car dock version of the ezeStand!

I've received confirmation from my supplier that the ezeStands materials are in transit to me due for arrival on Wednesday 3/10/10. We will be shipping ezeStands on Thursday 3/11/10 and if you pre-ordered it will be part of that shipment. We'll send you a shipping notice at that time as well.
