Fable 2: Game of the Year

Ok, so I thought Star Wars: The Force Unleashed was the Game of the Year. Well, I was so wrong about that, it's sad. Fable 2 owns it hands down.

I'm not even that far into it and I'm so hooked.
 
Damn it, too many good reviews....guess ill be buying this game today.
 
I liked Fable 1 also but it took awhile to get started with overly simple, stupid missions. I understand you need to learn the game... but really...

I wish there was just an option to throw you into the world and start on your journey without dealing with any BS. But I'm an impatient person.

I think I might have to get this game now... And I don't even have a gaming console at the moment haha
 
It doesn't do that anymore. You completely skip over the training stuff.

Much like the first game, this is one of the games that convince you to buy the system.

Its called life! ;) I hate that game btw......life that is.
 
I've bought up about 20% of Bowerstone. I have almost every stand, 4 houses for rent, the stone cutter, and the alchemist.

By the time I get back on tomorrow (the wife wants to spend time with me tonight), I should have enough to buy either the Bar or Blacksmith...maybe both.

I'm quickly becoming The Donald of Albien.
 
I've always been an RPG person. I have Halo 3, but that's about it. Unfortunately, I have a friend who said he was going to get a PS3 so he could get Resistance 2. One of his co-workers has the first one and is getting the second. It'll be my friends first new-gen system and that's about the only way I'll get to "hang out" with him. I guess I'll end up biting the bullet and getting it.

Fable 2 is still better, though. ;)

FYI: The "earn money while not playing" thing in F2 is nice, but it doesn't earn at the same rate as when playing. I only earned 10k after being away for 46 hours this weekend. In game, it would have been about 100k.
 
That sucks. I just tend to like FPS. Nothin' like puttin' some of your coworkers or bosses heads on the enemy and havin' a lil' fun.

I'm in the beta for Resistance 2 and that thing is sick!
 
Anyone having issues with partial lag? I have some problems where certain images don't resolve as fast as others.

For example, sometimes when I go to the Bowerstone Blacksmith, the A button and "blacksmith" appears, but the guy hasn't been drawn.
 
Fable II is an excellent game... my only problem with it... is that I also just got Fallout 3 and it's hard to choose which one to play. :)
 
I'm going to log on for the first time since Saturday tonight. Can't wait to see how much gold I've racked up in that time.

I own most, if not all, of Bowerstone Market, Old Town (I think that's what it's called) Bowerstone, Bloodstone, Westcliff, and Oakfield. I think I'm accruing roughly 16k every 5 minutes when I'm on. I'm guessing I'll have around 500-600k waiting for me in addition to whatever I had before.


Has anyone been bad on the first time through? I'm always good the first time through a game with the option. As demented as it sounds, I'm looking forward to killing shop owners the next time through the game. Makes the property cheaper. :p
 
574k+ was waiting for me!

Skill and Strength are maxed out. Almost all Will.

It's starting to get a little easy. Hopefully once I get back on the main story line, the enemies will get harder.
 
If anyone wants some gold or items to help them along, let me know. Add me as a friend on Live and tell me what you want. I'll be on Saturday and maybe Sunday (not tonight as the Blues are playing the Blackhawks, so it's Friday hockey night tonight).

I'll donate up to 400k this weekend.
 
well then good thing you aren't in charge for naming a game as game of the year. because you already made up your mind that star wars was game of the year but proved yourself wrong by naming fable as game of the year. If you play an even better game soon are you gonna name that game of the year aswell? lol. wait till the year is actually over. Plus, Gears 2?? hello? i'm not calling it GoTY, but its a strong nomination in my books.
 
Have you seen how many paid reviewers change their opinion? Happens all the time. It's more of "to that point" statement.

I haven't even play GoW2, yet, but I'm sure I'll still like Fable 2 more. I'm not a huge fan of shooters. I'm not discounting GoW2, but no shooter will ever be great in my mind.
