Help Face unlock - Train face everytime ?

I switch on Face unlock when i am with my buddies and then revert back to Swipe method.

Now, everytime i activate face unlock i have to Re-train my face.
So, cant the phone remember my face and store it OR i have to keep on retraining everytime i decide to use the face unlock feature?

It's really frustrating.

So all i wana know is - is this normal how this thing is designed.

Yes, unfortunately, every you switch to the face unlock method from another unlock method, you have to retrain your face to the phone.
