I still have an OG Droid, planning to upgrade to likely the rezound soon, but in the meantime...
My battery is usually enough to get me through the day, but occassionally i will witness and extreme drain where i have almost full battery and fifteen minutes later my phone is dead. i do not know what is causing this. the only lead i have is the com.katana.facebook app thing seems to take up large amount of battery. especially considering i have all facebook updates and pushes turned off. i would uninstall facebook completely but i do not want to lose the connection with my contacts.
this may also be wht is eating through my data. most of the time i have pretty average use (right around 2gb of data) unless i have to use PDAnet, but sometimes i will not even be using my phone and ill be going through .2 gb of data in a day. obviously ICS isnt here to save me yet so i do not know what is causing any of this.
ideas?

Clear the cache in the FB app....

if it still does it, then in this order:

1) FC app
2) Clear cache
3) Uninstall it

Leave it off for a week and see if it helps. If it does, then install it again and see if it starts up again.

i dont think it was the facebook app, and if it was clearing the cache didnt do anything.
any other suggestions my friends?
