Help Facebook App frustration

Total and utter frustration with Facebook app, takes a lifetime to open and so often get the force close or wait message. Friends with other phones just seem to go on at will.

Any help or suggestions so gratefully received.

I use the mobile website. Works for me. Many use an app called Friendcaster.

I gave up on the Android app and now use Friendcaster
