Facebook app on my tablet does not show all the text

Hello
I am using the Facebook App on my Galaxy Tab S3.
I cannot view things correctly on the app. There is a column that overlays the news feed and cuts off some of the text.
Is there any way I can correct this?
attached is a screenshot of how it looks. see the column on the right overlaps some of the text on the news feed.
